The Villans head into the final day of the transfer window needing reinforcements in a few key areas, and here’s how we think they could be lining up by the close of play on Friday.
The backline largely looks the same after the Villa Park outfit spent big in the summer to bring in a whole host of reinforcements.

New boy Pepe Reina starts in goal, while nothing much really changes in front of him as Matt Targett, Kortney House, Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa and Frederic Guilbert retain their spots.
There are changes in the midfield though.
Indeed, Victor Wanyama has been linked with Aston Villa according to The Sun (29 January, page 56). With John McGinn sidelined due to injury he starts alongside Douglas Luiz as there’s no place for either Marvelous Nakamba or Danny Drinkwater.
On the wings there isn’t much change with Jack Grealish and Anwar El Ghazi starting.
The club have been linked with numerous strikers this window, but Davie Selke is the current name on everyone’s mind after he was linked with a move to Villa Park.
Could these two deals go through? Only time will tell.
