Lots of Newcastle fans have been reacting to the club’s swoop for Joelinton, as Sky Sports journalist Pete Graves confirmed he thinks the deal will happen.
According to The Telegraph, Newcastle have a deal “in place” for Hoffenheim’s Joelinton, who scored ten goals and added five assists last season.
The Northern Echo have also claimed potential new manager Steve Bruce has sanctioned a swoop for the 22 year-old, and now Graves has chimed in too.
The Newcastle-based Sky Sports reporter says there is something in the reports, as opposed to the usual nonsense flung out by Mike Ashley’s PR machine, and that he believes a deal will happen.
Of course, the Toon Army have endured a horrific summer so far, seeing their beloved manager walk out the door and not a single new signing arrive, so quite a few aren’t buying this.
Others however are already giving their verdict on the player himself, and it seems the links have riled the fans as they are not impressed by his goalscoring record. Take a look at some of the best fan comments down below…
