Despite a productive transfer deadline day Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas is still seeking further additions to his squad and Santos playmaker Ganso is top of his wanted list according to the Mirror.
Despite typical South American third ownership worries, Ganso is thought to be available for around £8million and would be a shrewd replacement for Joao Moutinho, whose deadline day deal to Spurs fell through after a fee was agreed.
Villas-Boas is already under pressure at White Hart Lane after a shaky start to the season, but late transfer window arrivals such as Moussa Dembele, Clint Dempsey and Hugo Lloris are signs of intent from the confident Spurs boss after the departures of Rafael van der Vaart and Luka Modric.
Ganso has played at numerous youth levels for Brazil and the 22 year old has already been capped eight times for the full squad. Playing alongside the likes of Neymar for Santos, Ganso has attracted a lot of attention from European clubs over the past year or so and a January move to London may well be on the cards.
