The striker’s hopes of lifting a trophy this season have taken a serious dent in the past few weeks, as Spurs were beaten 7-2 by Bayern in the Champions League on Tuesday just a week after being eliminated from the Carabao Cup by Colchester United.
Of course, this poor run has led to a number of discussions about his future.
Gary Lineker asked Rio Ferdinand whether or not he thinks Kane lacks ambition, and the former Manchester United man believes that there is more to it than just that.
The former defensive rock stated that it may just be the type of person he is and that he loves Tottenham, rather than agreeing with the claim that he lacks ambition.
Peter Crouch added that winning something with the London club would mean more to Kane than moving to Spain and winning a few La Liga titles with the likes of Real Madrid or Barcelona, although the former Lilywhites striker did say: “His head will be turned now.”
On a night where Spurs fans didn’t have much to celebrate, Ferdinand’s comments may buoy the fanbase a little bit.
